Transplant Teenz supports all teenagers (Grades 7th-12th) impacted by the transplant experience—whether they have undergone or are awaiting organ or tissue transplants, or have a household member who has gone through or is awaiting a transplant.
We understand the unique challenges that come with these experiences and aim to empower teens through virtual support groups, interactive resources, and a safe space to share the ups and downs that can come with healing.
In Transplant Teenz University our teens learn to face challenges like depression, body image, and other obstacles as villains they have the power to defeat. Through this training, they equip themselves with the tools of resilience, self-acceptance, and strength, preparing for their ultimate launch into adulthood. By the time they’re ready to launch, they’ll have everything they need to navigate their journey, face life’s villains, and thrive.
Dr. Brittany and Micah Clayborne are the duo behind Transplant Teenz. The heart recipient and psychologist heard her son's fears of not being able to relate to anyone during his transplant journey and together they created Transplant Teenz.
