Play 4 L!FE is a community event that brings together transplant teens, athletes, and advocates to celebrate life through movement, health, and hope. It combines sports and wellness to educate, inspire, and connect the transplant community with the public.
Play 4 L!FE:

Advocates for organ and tissue donation by sharing real stories of survival and legacy.

Educates families and youth about physical and mental health as well as whole-body wellness.

Empowers transplant teens to live stronger and lead louder—on and off the court.
The event includes:
🏀 A basketball game pairing transplant teens with college athletes.
💚 A health and wellness fair offering heart, mental, and physical health education.
✨ Storytelling moments honoring donors and celebrating second chances.
Blue & Green Scrimmage
College athletes face off while transplant recipeints, donor families and advocates sub in and out throughout the game.
Second Chance Shots
A Transplant Teenz Twist on the halftime favorite, half court shot, paired with a story of second chances.
Play 4 L!FE Pause
Extended time outs allow for stories that bring awareness to organ donation.
Wellness Walk Through
Hands on stations that educate about physical and mental health as well as whole-body wellness.
Legacy Laces
All players wear green shoelaces in honor of donors and recipients.
Legacy Line Up
A powerful pre-game tradition where donor families are honored as their loved ones’ names and jerseys are presented, symbolizing the legacies that continue to “Play 4 L!fe.”
