Spark is an annual gathering on World Transplant Day where transplant youth lead, the community leans in, and together we gain a fuller understanding of the transplant journey.

Through focused, reflective talks, transplant youth share how transplant has shaped their identity, development, and worldview — in their own words.
Spark highlights the voices of 7th-12th graders who are:
Teen Transplant recipients (any organ)
Teens awaiting transplant
Teens impacted by transplant in their home (sibling/parent)
Donor family teens who want to honor their story and legacy
An Epic Stage Experience
Teens step onto a professional stage, own their message, and feel the impact of the journey they’ve carried as they speak with confidence and purpose.

Leadership Development That Lasts
Participating in any capacity at Spark builds skills teens carry into school, leadership, and future opportunities, as well as a powerful story they can confidently reference in college essays, applications, scholarships, and interviews.

A Shift in Transplant Narrative
Spark moves the transplant story beyond appointments and outcomes, helping teens see themselves as more than patients.

Guided Preparation and Support
Teens receive one-on-one coaching to prepare for the Spark stage — learning how to clarify their message, own their story, and speak with confidence in a high-visibility setting.

A Thoughtfully Designed Experience
From speakers to ushers, media team, and attendees, every participating teen is still part of the VIP experience and receives premium access, preferred seating, behind-the-scenes peeks to a professional stage environment, and a special Spark gift recognizing their role.

IRL
The night before Spark, attending teens gather in person for a relaxed, invite-only experience focused on connection, fun, and shared energy before the main event.
