Spark is an annual gathering on World Transplant Day where transplant youth lead, the community leans in, and together we gain a fuller, more human understanding of their transplant journey.
Through a series of TED-Style talks, transplant youth share how transplant has shaped their identity, development, and worldview.
This one-day experience invites families, clinicians, partners, and the broader community to understand how inclusion — or exclusion — in a young person’s narrative shapes the transplant journey in ways charts and outcomes cannot.
SPARK delivers a high-impact experience that includes:
-
Authentic, youth-led storytelling
-
A modern, hope-forward narrative for families and those waiting
-
Visibility into teen identity and development within the transplant journey
-
Shareable storytelling assets for hospitals and OPOs
-
A national platform that centers teen voices and lived experience
