1. What is Transplant Teenz?

 

Transplant Teenz supports all teenagers (ages 12-18 or until high school graduation) impacted by the transplant experience—whether they have undergone or are awaiting organ or tissue transplants, or have a household member who has gone through or is awaiting a transplant.

2. Who can join Transplant Teenz?

Any teenager aged 12-18 who has undergone or is awaiting an organ transplant is welcome to join Transplant Teenz. We also extend our support to high school graduates who are still within the program’s age range.

3. What resources does Transplant Teenz offer?

Transplant Teenz provides a range of resources to support teens throughout their transplant journey, including:
- Peer Support Groups: Regularly scheduled virtual support groups via our private Zoom server.

All volunteers are background checked to ensure a safe environment.

Our moderated support groups are held once a month via our private Zoom server, with additional biweekly group sessions. These groups are facilitated by trained professionals and/or peer mentors with experience in organ transplants.

Support groups meet monthly on Zoom, with biweekly sessions also available. We strive to accommodate the schedules of our participants for consistent and meaningful engagement.
